I went to the Bearclaw coffee and went in. There was nobody inside. I was followed by a young woman and two children who wanted some ice cream. After waiting a couple minutes with nobody apparently there we left. I then saw an old gent walk in. He came out shaking his head.

"What's the matter", I asked.

"They're closed on Mondays".

"You mean the art gallery, Yeah they're always closed on Mondays."

"No," he retorted, "The coffee shop."

"Huh?" I went and looked at the sign on the door. In the 10 minutes I was there 5 customers had left unhappily, and yet; the door was open.

I walked down the block the woman boutique was closed, the bridal salon, the italian bakery, even the cafe down the road all closed. Everyone needs a day off, but such small businesses should be open the maximum and rotate the coffee jerks.

Silverpage and Rosepage started

I started two new pages at zanografix.com : the silverpage and the rosepage. Companies that offer pay-per-impression-ads are only interested in sites that do so many pages a month. I did 4000+ in Jan, and Feb and almost 7000 pages in March. So what are these new pages and why should anyone want to post to them?

The rosepage is a page where I review blogs. There are so many of them out there. Simple blog traffic sites get numbers that are like air. What good is spending an hour reviewing sites if they limit one to 5 comments. The structured review is meant for people seeking brownie points. I never was the recipient of any great number of these. perhaps its because I don't have 3 million names on a blogroll. If I look at and read a blog, I'll comment on it. Sometimes I'll even go into great length as on my recent comments about the following sites 100 Years of Illustration and Drawn.

The silverpage is for all you people who keep bugging me to sell stuff. I'm not against people making money off of their posts here. I've been a little hesitant here though because I'm bonbarded just like everyone else with a ton of junk mail. I'm constantly having to prune names from the forum because the names are people who don't have verifiable e-mail addresses or websites. I don't appreciate people trying to get free ad space so I see them in my data base and they're gone if you want to post an ad here then be aware for this I charge....
